Commercial LPG Cylinder Rates Cut Across India’s Metro Cities — Check New Prices
Starting Saturday, state-run oil marketing companies (OMCs) have announced a reduction in commercial LPG cylinder prices across major metro cities. The revision brings modest relief to thousands of small and medium-scale businesses that rely heavily on LPG for daily operations.

The new rates, effective from November 1, mark a minor yet welcome relief for businesses amid fluctuating fuel costs in recent months.
New Commercial LPG Cylinder Prices in Metro Cities
According to the latest price revision by OMCs, the 19-kg commercial LPG cylinder now costs ₹1,590.50 in Delhi, reflecting a ₹5 drop from the previous price of ₹1,595.50.
In Kolkata, the cylinder price has fallen by ₹6.50, now costing ₹1,694, marking the steepest decline among metro cities. Chennai has seen a cut of ₹4.50, with the new rate at ₹1,750, while Mumbai's rate has dropped by ₹5 to ₹1,542 per cylinder.
This reduction comes after a ₹15.50 hike in September, giving some relief to restaurants, catering services, and other small businesses that depend on LPG for operations.
Domestic LPG Prices Remain Unchanged
While commercial rates have been adjusted, domestic LPG cylinder prices remain the same across all cities. The government has kept household cooking gas rates stable, continuing to shield consumers from recent market volatility.
Frequent Revisions in 2024
The recent price cut follows several revisions throughout the year. In September, OMCs reduced commercial LPG cylinder rates by ₹51.50, pricing the 19-kg cylinder in Delhi at ₹1,580. Earlier, prices were lowered by ₹33.50 and ₹58.50 in separate months, with June witnessing a ₹24 reduction, setting the rate at ₹1,723.50.
In April, the cost stood at ₹1,762, while February saw a ₹7 cut, which was later offset by a ₹6 increase in March.
Meanwhile, the Central Government recently announced its plan to distribute 2.5 million free LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) during the festive season to benefit low-income households.
