Shocking: 'Comedy Circus' actor arrested on rape charges

New Delhi, Mar 10: Mumbai Police has arrested comedian Rehman Khan. Reportedly Khan who has been part of series of TV shows including 'Comedy Circus' and The Great Indian Laughter Challenge Season 3' was arrested on rape charges.

When asked about the same, Waliv police confirmed the report. Senior police officer Narayana Patil was quoted as saying, "We arrested Khan from Kurla on Tuesday and he was produced in court on Wednesday. He has been remanded to police custody till March 14".

Earlier a woman had lodged police complaint on February 29 against Khan. She had alleged that comedian had raped her.

Complainant, who is a resident of Santa Cruz and a mother of two further claimed that actor had borrowed Rs 2 lakh from her. When she asked for her money, Khan took her to a hotel and raped her.

Woman who claimed that she met with Khan through social media app WeChat also alleged that Khan used to threathen her by claiming video of the rape.
