CM Chandrababu Naidu Turns Teacher During Andhra's Statewide Parent-Teacher Meet

In a unique educational initiative, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu took on the role of a teacher, delivering a comprehensive Social Science lesson to students. This event was part of a statewide parent-teacher meeting, which saw participation from over 2.3 crore individuals. The session aimed to foster engagement between parents, teachers, and students.

During his 45-minute lecture at Zilla Parishad High School in Kothacheruvu, Naidu covered various topics such as conventional and non-conventional resources, fuel and power generation, patents, water resources, and technology's impact. He also interacted with students, reviewed their progress reports, and provided motivational advice to inspire academic success.

Massive Participation in Statewide Initiative

The Mega Parent-Teacher Meeting (PTM) initiative witnessed an overwhelming response across Andhra Pradesh. Education and IT Minister Nara Lokesh attended the class as a student and addressed the gathering. Lokesh highlighted that over 2.3 crore people participated in this large-scale event, making it one of the most extensive initiatives conducted in a single day.

This significant public outreach effort was designed to encourage parents to keep their children enrolled in schools and reduce dropout rates. It marked the second major initiative since the new alliance government was formed.

Thalliki Vandanam Scheme Highlighted

At the event, Chief Minister Naidu emphasized the importance of education through the state's Thalliki Vandanam scheme. This programme provides Rs 15,000 annually to mothers who ensure their children attend school regularly. "The more children you send to school, the more they will benefit in the future," Naidu stated.

He urged parents to consistently send their children to school and ensure they do not skip classes. The scheme aims to incentivize regular attendance by offering financial support to families.

The initiative reflects the government's commitment to improving educational outcomes and fostering a culture of learning across Andhra Pradesh. By engaging directly with students and parents, Naidu hopes to inspire greater involvement in education at all levels.
