Chinese, Indian Troops Chant 'Jai Shri Ram' At LAC, Video Goes Viral
Ram Mandir Inuaguration: In an extraordinary show of camaraderie at the Line of Actual Control (LAC), a video has been circulated widely, capturing Indian and Chinese troops chanting 'Jai Shree Ram' to commemorate the historic return of Ram Lalla to Ayodhya after 500 years.
The video gained prominence just as the newly-inaugurated Ram Mandir in Ayodhya was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The video implies that soldiers from both countries engaged in an interaction during a meeting, featuring a table with beverages and snacks. The Indian soldiers were observed assisting the troops of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) in reciting the "Jai Shree Ram" chant. Although the exact date of the video remains unclear, some reports suggest it might be three months old.
The video received widespread sharing among social media users, garnering positive sentiments from many, despite long-standing tensions between the two neighboring countries. Surprise was expressed by many people as Chinese soldiers deviated from their usual confrontational stance to convey wishes on the 'Pran Pratistha' ceremony of the Ram Mandir.
How India celebrated the inauguration of Ram Mandir
The inauguration of the Ram Mandir was celebrated in Ayodhya, where significant transformations were made in the city's infrastructure leading up to the event. A four-lane pilgrimage route replaced narrow roads, a new airport and railway station attracted tourists, and major hotel chains constructed new properties.
The ritual, witnessed by nearly 7,500 people, including elite industrialists, politicians, and movie stars, featured a giant screen displaying the ceremony outside the temple. Flower petals were showered from a military helicopter as the 1.3-meter stone sculpture of Lord Ram was unveiled.
The opening ceremony, led by PM Modi in traditional attire, took place as Hindu priests chanted hymns in the temple's inner sanctum. Ayodhya is adorned with huge cut-outs of Lord Ram and billboards of Modi, and borders have been sealed to control the influx of people. Security measures include 20,000 personnel and over 10,000 security cameras.
The temple, built at an estimated cost of $217 million and spanning nearly 3 hectares, stands on the site where the 16th-century Babri Mosque once stood, demolished in 1992 by those who believed it was constructed on temple ruins marking Lord Ram's birthplace.
The celebration extended globally, with Indians across the world participating in rallies with saffron flags and chanting "Jai Shree Ram." In the US, the Indian diaspora illuminated Times Square in New York with an image of Lord Ram and engaged in chanting Shree Ram Bhajans and songs, showcasing their cultural heritage and the vibrancy of their home country.
