Chhattisgarh: Two CRPF jawans injured in IED blast
Two CRPF jawans were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Aranpur area of Chhattisgarh's Dantewada on Friday (June 1). Dantewada is an area where the Maoists are known to attack the security personnel.
Initially it was reported than one jawan was injured and rushed to a nearby hospital, but later it emerged that a total of two CRPF personnel were injured in the blast.

On May 24, one CRPF personnel was killed and one injured in an IED blast in Chhattisgarh's Puswada. The injured jawan was of 206 CoBRA (Commando Battalion for Resolute Action) battalion.
On May 29, three Naxals were killed in an encounter with security forces in Chhattisgarh's Rajnandgaon. Last month, three Naxals carrying cash rewards on their heads were killed in two encounters with security forces in Sukma district.
In 2010, 76 CRPF personnel were killed in an ambush by Maoists in Dantewada, which was considered deadliest attack by the Maoists on security forces.
