According to police, Krishna Patel and Ramabai Patel (47) were found hanging from a tree in the courtyard of their home, using a saree as a noose. The couple's deaths came just days after their son's sudden demise, which reportedly left them emotionally shattered.

Investigators revealed that the couple left behind a four-page suicide note and a video message, both of which were recovered from the house. In the video, the grieving parents were seen requesting authorities to ensure that the insurance claim amount related to their son's death be handed over to Krishna Patel's elder brother, highlighting their concern for the family's financial stability even in their final moments.

Neighbours alerted police after silence raised alarm

Neighbours grew suspicious on 16 February after noticing no movement in the house for several hours. Repeated calls to the couple went unanswered, and the main door was locked from inside. Upon peering through a window, they saw both Krishna and Ramabai hanging from the tree in the courtyard and immediately alerted the police.

Officers rushed to the spot, brought down the bodies, and sent them for post-mortem examination. A case has been registered, and police officials stated that all possible angles related to the deaths are being examined, though preliminary findings suggest extreme emotional distress as the cause.
