Chhattisgarh: Police jawan killed by Naxals in Bijapur
Raipur, Feb 17: A police jawan was killed by Naxals in Chhattisgarh's worst insurgency-hit Bijapur district, police said on Tuesday.

A small action team of Naxals attacked Punem while he was returning to the outpost located in the dense forest patch of Bijapur, after taking dinner at his home in the village, the SP said.
Soon after getting information about the gunshots in forests, security forces rushed to the spot and found his body, the SP said.
The body has been sent for post mortem, the SP said adding that a combing operation has been launched in the region to trace the assailants.
