Chhattisgarh: Naxals who carried out bloodbath had local support
It was one of the deadliest attacks by naxalites in recent times. 25 jawans of the CRPF have been martyred in the attack that took place 12.25 pm on Monday at Sukma, Chhattisgarh.

Intelligence reports state that the naxalites had got information about the movement of the CRPF party through locals in the area. It is clear that the naxalites have precise information about the CRPF team. Several locals in the area have been rounded up for questioning.
The naxals first sent villagers to trace the location of the CRPF team. Almost 300 naxalites carried out the attack. The CRPF team too killed several naxalites.
The attack at Chhattisgarh comes in the wake of the government pushing for development. It was a desperate attack, Intelligence Bureau officials say. The naxalites had roped in several locals by force to pass on information about the movement of the forces.
The manner in which the attack was carried out clearly indicates that the naxalites were fully aware of the movement of the CRPF team. It was a precision attack and in the bargain 25 brave jawans lost their lives.
Currently the top brass of the police, Intelligence Bureau, both state and centre are coordinating with each other to get more information about the incident. The Chhattisgarh government has promised the strictest action. An all out offensive would be launched against the naxalites.
