Chhattisgarh Exit Poll: Congress Has Edge Over BJP

The Congress is likely to retain Chhattisgarh as many exit polls have predicted that the grand old party will emerge victorious in the assembly polls in 2023.

As per News24-Today's Chanakya poll predictions, the Congress will win 57 seats out of 90 seats. The BJP will bag 33 seats. Whereas Times Now-ETG has predicted that the Congress will bag 48-56 seats, while the BJP is predicted to win 32-40 seats.

Among the remaining polls, Republic TV-Matrize, Dainik Bhaskar, and India TV-CNX also signalled a potential victory for the Congress. Republic TV projected 44-52 seats for the ruling party, while Dainik Bhaskar and India TV indicated a range of 46-56 seats.

Republic TV forecasted 34-42 seats for the BJP, Dainik Bhaskar projected 35-45 seats, and India TV suggested 30-40 seats.

Although other exit polls favoured the Congress, they hinted at the possibility of falling short of a majority, leaving a chance for the BJP. ABP News-C Voter, India Today-My Axis, and Republic TV-Matrize collectively predicted 40-53 seats for the Congress and 34-42 seats for the BJP.

The remaining two polls, Jan Ki Baat and TV9 Bharatvarsh-Polstrat, also suggested a Congress win. Jan Ki Baat projected 42-53 seats, while TV9 Bharatvarsh gave it a range of 40-50 seats, with the BJP securing between 34 and 45 seats.

Chhattisgarh voted in two phases - 7 November and 17 November. The results will be announced on December 3.
