Lord Ram's Connection to Chhattisgarh
According to research scholars, Lord Ram passed through several places now located in Chhattisgarh during his 14-year exile from Ayodhya. Chandkhuri, a village situated around 27 km away from the capital city of Raipur, is believed to be the birthplace of Mata Kaushalya, Lord Ram's mother. The ancient Mata Kaushalya temple in the village underwent significant renovation during the previous Congress government's tenure.
