Chhattisgarh: Seven jawans killed, 1 injured in IED blast triggered by Naxals
Around four jawans of Chhattisgarh Armed Force and two jawans of District Force were killed in an IED blast on a police vehicle in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada Cholnar village.
The IED blast targeted the police vehicle in which they were travelling.

According to Sunder Raj P, DIG Anti-Naxal Operation on Dantewada attack,''6 jawans dead, 1 injured according to preliminary investigation. Search operation is being held by security forces. Blast could be of high intensity, but the exact details will come after the investigation.''
After detonating the improvised explosive device, the naxals opened fire on the police personnel.
Earlier on May 2, two jawans of Chhattisgarh Police's District Force were killed in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Gariaband district.
A platoon of 29 security personnel had gone to attend a public welfare meeting in a village located near the Odisha border.
Earlier on April 29, a Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) jawan sustained injuries in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast in Chhattisgarh's Dantewada district.
