Chennai Shocker: Drunken parents dump 6-month-old baby on road
Chennai, May 19: What can be more dangerous than this news? Parents of a 6-month-old baby boy dumped him on road in Chennai. Police found the baby boy lying on road on Saturday, May 16.
Fortunately, the child suffered minor injuries on his head and body. He was taken to a government hospital where doctors treated him.

Meanwhile, police traced the parents of the 'unfortunate' child. It was learnt that the couple came to Chennai to meet their two kids who stay in a Home at Tondiarpet, Chennai.
The couple has been identified as 36-year-old Rajendran and 34-year-old Gangadevi. Both of them hailed from Nagapantal village in Jeyankondam in Ariyalur district and were working in a brick kiln at Panruti.
After meeting their kids, the couple got drunk and were engaged in a fight due to some trivial issue. They dumped the 6-month-old and left him on the road.
Later police found them in an inebriated condition in the vicinity. The cops gave them fresh set of clothes. Hours after, the couple stated what actually had happened.
A senior police official was quoted as saying, "It appears that the couple came to the city on Saturday morning to visit the two children. While they were returning, they both got drunk and got into a quarrel. At some point, they dumped the child on the road and walked away."
The police official also informed that the baby soon will be discharged from hospital and added. His condition is stable now, informed the cop.
