Chennai, July 2: A joyride has become a horror-ride for DMK leader MK Stalin and for one of his co-passengers. A video has gone viral on internet featuring Stalin and his co-passengers.

In the video, Stalin was seen slapping a man inside Chennai Metro on Wednesday, July 1. However, Stalin overruled such reports saying that he did not slap any of co-passengers.

An official statement was released by Stalin's office which said that Stalin was asking the passenger to move away from the women passengers travelling in the same Metro. While speaking to man, Stalin, according to the official statement, "inadvertently touched him" due to a train jolt.

However, statement from Stalin's office failed to impress Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa and her party members.

Criticising Stalin, Jayalalithaa said, "Stalin's behavior doesn't augur well as an MLA. All are equal in public places. Nobody is inferior. Stalin should maintain dignity."

Despite facing criticism from the AIADMK supremo, Stalin received support from former DMK leader Khushboo. The former actress was quoted as saying, "It is not a slap. It's just a flick on the cheek. Only a portion of the video is being circulated and has gone viral. It is a conspiracy to spoil the image of Stalin. He never reacts like that unless he is pushed."

Defending Stalin, Khushboo also claimed that one should see the entire video before coming to a conclusion.
