Prashant Kishor s Prediction On BJP

Prashant Kishor's Prediction On BJP - Key Points

Here are some of major points by political strategist Prashant Kishore on Lok Sabha Election 2024:

  • The prediction by Prashant Kishor, a political strategist with experience working alongside Prime Minister Narendra Modi and various opposition leaders, suggested that the BJP could secure more than 300 seats in the upcoming elections, surpassing the threshold needed to form a government at the Centre.
  • Kishor indicated that the BJP has the potential to emerge as the leading party in West Bengal and could also achieve a top-two position in Telangana, a significant development according to his analysis.
  • Specifically, Kishor forecasted that the BJP would likely rank either first or second in Telangana, marking a notable shift in the state's political landscape. He also anticipated the BJP's rise as a major force in Odisha, with a strong possibility of securing the maximum number of seats in West Bengal, as reported by ABP.

  • Kishor criticized the opposition for missing crucial opportunities to counter the BJP's momentum, attributing this failure to laziness and flawed strategies.
  • He emphasized the BJP's potential to achieve a double-digit vote share in Tamil Nadu, where the party failed to win any seats in 2019 despite garnering 3.66 percent of the votes.
  • Additionally, Kishor suggested that the BJP's seat count could increase in Odisha, from 8 out of 21 seats in 2019 to 10 in the upcoming elections. Similarly, in Telangana, where the BJP secured 4 out of 17 seats previously, there is room for further growth.
  • Despite the BJP's limited success in certain states historically, Kishor highlighted the party's strategic focus on South and East India by Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah to expand their seat count, as reported by ABP.
  • Notably, Prime Minister Modi conducted more rallies in Tamil Nadu over the past five years compared to key opposition leaders like Rahul Gandhi and Sonia Gandhi, underscoring the BJP's concerted effort to strengthen its presence in the region.
