Chandrayaan 3: Why Every Indian Should Be Proud Of India's Moon Mission
Four years after it broke many hearts, the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is finally set to launch its third moon mission, Chandrayaan-3.
The rocket will take off on July 14 at 2:35 pm from the Sriharikota launchpad, in one of India's biggest missions yet. The mission will be a repeat of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which was launched in 2019 but failed to make a soft landing on the moon.

This time, ISRO is confident that the mission will be successful. The scientists have made several changes to the lander and rover, and they are confident that the landing will be smooth.
Here are five reasons why every Indian should feel proud of India's Moon Mission:
India will be the first country to soft-land near the Moon's South Pole: The South Pole of the Moon is a region that has never been explored before, and it is thought to be rich in water ice. Chandrayaan-3 will help us to learn more about this mysterious region and its potential resources.
Indigenous mission: This means that all of the components of the mission, from the launch vehicle to the lander and rover, will be built and operated by India. This is a major achievement for the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) and a testament to India's growing capabilities in space technology.

Budget: The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a remarkable example of achieving ambitious space exploration goals in a cost-effective manner. The Chandrayaan-3 is built on a budget of just under Rs 615 crore or USD 75 million. However, this is lesser than the budget of Chandrayaan 2, i.e. Rs 978 crore.
Lunar Surface Exploration: Chandrayaan-3 aims to continue the exploration of the lunar surface and expand our understanding of Earth's closest celestial neighbor. By conducting detailed investigations and experiments, the mission will contribute to scientific knowledge about the Moon's geology, mineralogy, and potential resources.
Inspiring the Next Generation: Chandrayaan-3 inspires and ignites the curiosity of the next generation of Indian scientists, engineers, and innovators. The mission serves as a symbol of ambition, determination, and scientific excellence, motivating young minds to pursue careers in space science and technology.
