From Bollywood to South Indian celebrities, many celebrities have taken Twitter to congratulate the ISRO after India joined an elite group of three nations to have sent a spacecraft on the moon as Chandrayaan-3 landed a rover on the lunar surface to explore the uncharted territories near the south pole.

With this touchdown on moon in second attempt in four years, India has become the fourth country to master the technology of soft-landing on the lunar surface after the US, China and the erstwhile Soviet Union.

"No other country has been able to land on this side of the moon before; this will change all narratives and stories about the moon", Prime Minister Narendra Modi said.
