Chandrayaan 3 Launch: This 'Fat Boy' LVM-3 Rocket Will Ferry Lunar Rover To Moon
The Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is all set to launch its third lunar exploration mission, Chandrayaan-3, on Friday. The mission will be carried by the 'fat boy' Mk-III (LVM-3) rocket, which is the largest and heaviest rocket in India's fleet. It must be noted that ISRO renamed the Geosynchronous Satellite Launch Vehicle (GSLV) Mark-III as Launch Vehicle Mark-III in October last year.
The launch is scheduled for 2.35 pm on July 14 from the Satish Dhawan Space Centre in Sriharikota. The mission will be a repeat of the Chandrayaan-2 mission, which was launched in 2019 but failed to make a soft landing on the moon.

This time, ISRO is confident that the mission will be successful. The scientists have made several changes to the lander and rover, and they are confident that the landing will be smooth.
The Chandrayaan-3 mission will be a major milestone for India's space program. If successful, it will make India only the fourth country to soft-land on the moon.
The mission will also help scientists to learn more about the moon's surface and its history. The lander will carry several instruments that will study the moon's surface, including its composition, temperature, and gravity.
The rover will also be able to travel around the moon and collect samples. These samples will be brought back to Earth for further analysis.

The Chandrayaan-3 mission is a major undertaking, but ISRO is confident that it will be successful. The scientists have worked hard to prepare for the mission, and they are confident that they will be able to achieve their goals.
The launch of Chandrayaan-3 is a major event for India's space program. If successful, it will be a major boost for the country's scientific and technological capabilities.
