CBSE Announces Extension For Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship Application Deadline

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has announced an extension for the application deadline of the Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship. Students can now apply through CBSE's official website, cbse.gov.in. This scholarship is available to students whose families earn a gross income of up to Rs 8 lakh annually.

Eligibility Criteria for CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship 2025

To qualify for this scholarship, single girl students must have achieved at least 70% in their CBSE Class 10 exams. They should be enrolled in Class 11 or 12 at a CBSE-affiliated school where tuition fees do not exceed Rs 2,500 monthly. NRI applicants are also eligible, with a tuition fee cap set at Rs 6,000 per month.

The deadline for both new applications and renewals has been extended from the previous date of October 23, 2025. The new deadline allows more time for eligible students to apply or renew their scholarships.
