Caught on cam: Man dragged on car's bonnet for 3 km in Delhi

A man was seen hanging on a car's bonnet as the car drove for around two to three km in the viral video.

The incident occurred around 11 pm on Sunday evening. The car was coming from Ashram Chowk to Nizamuddin Dargah with a person hanging on the bonnet, ANI reported.

The car belonged to Bihar MP Chandan Singh, NDTV reported citing a cop. However, the politician was not present in the car at the time of the incident.

The victim identified as Chetan has alleged that the accused driver was "totally drunk."

"I work as a driver, I was returning after leaving a passenger. When I reached near Ashram, a car touched my car three times, then I came out of my car and stood in front of his car. After which he started driving the car, I hung on the bonnet and he kept driving from Ashram Chowk to Nizamuddin with me hanging on the bonnet. I kept asking him to stop, but he did not stop. The person was totally drunk. On the way, I saw a PCR standing, they followed us until he stopped the car," Chetan told ANI.

The video of the incident has now gone viral.

However, the accused named Ramchand Kumar has denied the allegations and said that Chetan deliberately jumped on the bonnet of his vehicle.

"My car did not even touch his car, I was driving when he deliberately jumped on the bonnet of my car. I asked him to get down but he did not listen. I then stopped my car and asked him what was he doing?" said the accused Ramchand Kumar.

The Delhi Police registered a case of rash driving.

In a similar incident a week ago, a video of a man being dragged on a car bonnet had gone viral and the cops arrested two men in connection with the incident.

Two men reportedly under the influence of alcohol first rammed their car into two vehicles and then dragged the man (driver of one of the cars) on the bonnet for at least 5 km in Ghaziabad's Mohan Nagar.

It all started after a woman questioned the two drunk men for ramming their car into her vehicle.
