Cattle traders looted of Rs 6 lakh in Muzaffarnagar

Muzaffarnagar, Jul 23: A group of six men allegedly looted Rs 6 lakh cash from cattle traders near Kalyanpur village under Ratenpuri police station in the district, police said.

The incident took place yesterday when the traders - Junaid, Moossa, Rahil, Asif, Sonu, and Irshad - were going in a truck to purchase cattle in Dabheri village, police said.

The six armed men came in a car and intercepted the truck following which they looted the cash and fled from the spot, they said.

Police arrived at the scene but nobody has been arrested so far. The car of the robbers was found from another place.

Meanwhile, in another incident, a cattle trader, Dinesh Pal (37), was shot dead allegedly by his business partner Kailash Singh at Pura village under Mansorpur police station over some money dispute yesterday.

A case has been registered against one Kailash, who went absconding after the incident.
