Candidates From UP, Bihar But Answers In Gujarati: Godhra NEET Case Probe Reveals
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has taken over the investigation into alleged malpractices during the NEET-UG examination, particularly at centers in Gujarat.
The investigation centers around multiple allegations including paper leaks, impersonation of candidates, and cheating.

Candidates from states like Odisha, Bihar, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, and Uttar Pradesh who appeared for the NEET-UG exam at a center in Godhra, Gujarat, were allegedly asked to choose Gujarati as their language for the exam.
This was reportedly to facilitate local individuals involved in the malpractice to fill out answer sheets, reported India Today.
Modus Operandi
The accused, including Dixit Patel who owns Jai Jalaram School in Godhra, allegedly demanded Rs 10 lakh from each student for ensuring their success in the NEET-UG exam.
Candidates were also instructed to show their permanent address as being from Panchmahal or Vadodara, indicating an attempt to falsify documents.
The CBI has so far taken custody of five out of six individuals, including Dixit Patel. The agency has registered six FIRs in connection with the case, covering aspects such as paper leaks (in Bihar's case), impersonation, and cheating across Gujarat, Rajasthan, and Maharashtra.
