Campa Cola: SC issues notices to Maha govt, BMC

This brings hopes for the flat owners who filed a fresh petition before the court seeking relief. The BMC and state government are planning to demolish the 100 flats in Campa Cola Society for violating norms.
As per reports, the apex court has asked the BMC and Maharashtra government to file response within three weeks. Reportedly, the court has asked BMC if the matter can be sorted outside the court.
The apex court reportedly asked the BMC and state government what was preventing them from regularising the flats.
The court had on June 3 dismissed the residents' plea against an earlier order asking them to vacate their apartments by May 31. After that, the BMC issued notices to the owners to vacate the flats and hand over the keys so that demolition could be carried out.
