Building Tomorrow's Bharat: BJP's Infrastructure Agenda For 2024 Lok Sabha Elections
In a bid to transform India's infrastructure landscape, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has released its manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, titled "Sankalp Patra." The manifesto outlines a series of ambitious plans aimed at revolutionising the country's railways, roads, aviation, waterways, and digital infrastructure.

Railway Revamp:
Under the BJP's proposed initiatives, the railway network is set to undergo a significant expansion to increase passenger and cargo transportation capacity. The party aims to add over 5000 km of new tracks annually, with a focus on reducing waiting lists and enhancing passenger experience.
The manifesto also highlights the development of the Kavach Train Protection System, an Automatic Train Protection System that is set to be rapidly expanded in the coming years. Additionally, the BJP plans to redevelop over 1,300 railway stations to world-class standards, providing passengers with modern and efficient facilities.
Roads and Highways:
The BJP has pledged to further strengthen the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, extending it to remote areas for improved connectivity. The party also aims to enhance road safety through technological interventions and the construction of expressways and ring roads around major cities to alleviate congestion.
Aviation and Waterways:
In the aviation sector, the BJP plans to enhance air connectivity by developing new airports, helipads, and aerodromes. The party also aims to expand water metro services across feasible regions, improving water-based public transportation networks.
Digital Infrastructure and Energy Security:
The manifesto highlights the importance of digital infrastructure, with plans to expand 5G networks and lead in the development of 6G technology. The BJP also aims to achieve energy independence by 2047 through a mix of electric mobility, renewable energy production, and energy efficiency measures.
Renewable Energy and Green Initiatives:
The BJP's manifesto includes a commitment to harness Bharat's renewable energy potential, targeting 500 GW of renewable energy through the establishment of mega solar and wind parks. The party also plans to invest in expanding production and developing technologies for green hydrogen production.
Implications and Future Prospects:
The BJP's ambitious manifesto lays down a comprehensive roadmap for transforming India's infrastructure, emphasizing innovation, sustainability, and technological advancement. If implemented effectively, these initiatives have the potential to propel India towards a more sustainable and technologically advanced future.
