Karnataka Elections:BSP's N Mahesh expects ministerial berth in JDS-Congress alliance
Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) candidate N Mahesh expects ministerial berth if the Janata Dal (Secular) formed an alliance with the Congress. BSP's N Mahesh created history by winning Kollegal assembly constituency.
N. Mahesh got 71792 votes against Congress' A.R. Krishnamurthy, who secured 52338 votes. BJP's G.N. Nanjunda Swamy was pushed to the third position.
BSP source told OneIndia that N Mahesh is expecting a ministerial berth if the government is formed JDS-Congress alliance. The source said, "" Former PM HD Deve Gowda is in touch with Beheji Mayawati. Ultimately, BSP supremo Mayawati will take a final call about BSP candidate's stand."
Before meeting JDS State President HD Kumaraswamy, BSP's N Mahesh will be holding a meeting with party office bearers of Karnataka. Later, Mahesh will go to Shangri La hotel to meet HD Kumaraswamy.
As per the terms of the pre-poll alliance, the BSP contested from 20 seats in Karnataka, while the JD(S) contest in the rest of the seats.
