The 1599-page chargesheet filed by the Delhi Police against Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) chief Brij Bhushan in the sexual harassment case of female wrestlers have shocking claims made by alleged victims.

According to an exclusive report by Times Now, the chargesheet cited a victim of sexual harassment as claiming that he lifted her t-shirt and touched her. Her statement had the backing of two others.

According to the chargesheet, the incident at the WFI office involved inappropriate touching and a prolonged tight hug, lasting 15-20 minutes, towards the victim. Additionally, another victim accused Brij Bhushan of intentionally touching her private parts and stomach.

The chargesheet also mentioned that the WFI allegedly touched a wrestler's palm, knee, thigh, and shoulders without obtaining consent, the report stated. It also mentions the sexual harassment happening in public places such as the WFI office. The cops have registered this case under 164 CrPC, which makes the case stronger.

On June 15, Delhi had filed a charge sheet in the case against the six-time MP under sections 354 (Assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty), 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking) and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

The charge sheet had also named Vinod Tomar, the suspended assistant secretary of the Wrestling Federation of India (WFI), for offences under sections 109 (abetment of any offence, if the act abetted is committed in consequence, and where no express provision is made for its punishment), 354, 354A and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the IPC, according to a report in PTI.

Besides the present case, another FIR was filed against Singh pursuant to the allegations made by a minor wrestler which was registered under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. She was among the seven female grapplers who had accused Singh of sexual harassment.

Both the FIRs narrated several alleged instances of sexual harassment like inappropriate touching, groping, stalking and intimidation by Singh at different times and places over a decade.

In the minor's case, the Delhi Police had on June 15 submitted a final report seeking cancellation of the FIR filed with regard to the allegation of sexual harassment against Singh. A cancellation report is filed in cases where police fail to find corroborative evidence after due investigation.

A court has asked the minor to reply on the police closure report. The next date of hearing is August 1.
