The election manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, known as the "Sankalp Patra," was unveiled on April 14 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.

In the manifesto titled 'Sankalp Patra,' commitments were made by the BJP to introduce 'One nation, one election' and implement a common electoral roll system. The Election Manifesto Committee, chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, held two meetings. Over 1.5 million recommendations for the manifesto were gathered, with 400,000 coming from the NaMo app and 1.1 million submitted via videos.

Measures prioritizing the dignity and empowerment of farmers include the implementation of the soil health card, micro-irrigation, crop insurance, seed supply, and direct financial assistance under the PM Kisan Samman Yojana. Here are the following points that are focused in BJP's Manifesto:

  • Annual financial assistance of ₹76,000 is provided under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana to ensure sustained support for farmers.
  • The PM Fasal Bima Yojana will be strengthened further with more technological interventions to enhance assessment accuracy, speed up payouts, and promptly resolve grievances.
  • Unprecedented increases in Minimum Support Price (MSP) for major crops have been ensured and will continue periodically.
  • Support will be extended to make Bharat Atmanirbhar in the production of pulses and edible oil.
  • New clusters will be established for vegetable production and storage, providing farming inputs and storage facilities.
  • Efforts will be made to position Bharat as the Nutri-Hub of the World by promoting millets for food security, nutrition, and environmental sustainability.
  • Millets will be promoted as a global superfood, focusing on expansion among small farmers, research, and international marketing.
  • A National Mission on Natural Farming will be launched to promote nature-friendly, climate-resilient agriculture.
  • Crop diversification will be incentivized further to enhance sustainability and remuneration.
  • The Krishi Infrastructure Mission will be launched to coordinate agri-infrastructure projects like storage facilities, irrigation, grading units, cold storage, and food processing.
  • Expansion of irrigation capacity using technology-enabled initiatives for efficient water management.
  • Development of grain storage facilities in rural areas under the cooperative sector.
  • Launching an indigenous Bharat Krishi satellite for crop forecasting, pesticide application, and weather forecasting.
  • Development of Digital Public Infrastructure to provide farmer-centric solutions and services.

  • Further upgrading of Krishi Vigyan Kendras to provide digital solutions and skill development.
  • Expansion of PM Kisan Samriddhi Kendras to offer all agricultural inputs and services in one place.
