BJP booth strategy in Uttarakhand elections

Uttarakhand BJP president Mahendra Bhatt told reporters the election plan remains centred on booths. Talks stressed tighter booth management for the next assembly polls. The BJP won Uttarakhand in 2017 and 2022. Leaders discussed steps meant to support another win in the coming election.

Bhatt said Nabin ordered special teams for booths lost in the 2022 assembly elections. The same teams will also focus on weak booths from the 2024 Lok Sabha polls. Bhatt added that workers received tasks to counter the opposition’s negative agenda. The party also discussed local feedback systems.

BJP core committee tour plan across Uttarakhand constituencies

Nabin instructed the 17 state core committee members to tour all 70 assembly constituencies. The travel plan covers June, July, and August. Each member must spend two days in every constituency. They must meet local core committee members, hold booth meetings, and gather issues directly.

Bhatt said Nabin underlined winning a third straight term through public support and worker effort. Bhatt said Nabin noted the BJP would "script history\" with a hat-trick win. The touring members were also asked to suggest solutions. These inputs will go to the state government on local grievances.

BJP leaders present at Uttarakhand core committee meeting

The meeting included BJP national general secretary organisation B L Santhosh and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. State in-charge and national general secretary Dushyant Gautam attended with co-in-charge Rekha Verma. Union Minister and Almora MP Ajay Tamta was also present. Several MPs and senior state leaders joined.

Other attendees included Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal and state general secretary organisation Ajeya Kumar. Former chief ministers Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank and Tirath Singh Rawat were present. BJP Uttarakhand visit schedule and events

Before the meetings, Nabin was received at Jolly Grant airport by Dhami, Bhatt and other leaders. On the route to the party headquarters, party workers welcomed Nabin at over two dozen spots. Youth and women groups joined the welcome. Flower petals were showered on Nabin at these locations.

On Friday, Nabin is scheduled to attend more party programmes and meetings. Nabin will also visit the Dehradun residence of former chief minister Bhuvan Chandra Khanduri. The visit is planned to pay respects after Khanduri’s recent death. The three-day tour continues with organisational engagements across Uttarakhand.
