BJP targets Congress government in Rajasthan over killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal
The BJP criticizes the Congress government in Rajasthan for the murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal, accusing them of allowing atrocities against women and leaking recruitment exam papers.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government in Rajasthan over the brutal murder of tailor Kanhaiya Lal in Udaipur last year. The BJP has accused the state’s ruling party of failing to ensure safety and security for its citizens, asserting that such heinous crimes reflect poorly on the law and order situation under Congress rule.

Party national spokesperson Sudhanshu Trivedi, while inaugurating a media centre at the BJP office in Udaipur, brought up this horrific incident. According to him, an innocent person was beheaded under the Congress government's watch in Rajasthan. The unfortunate victim, Kanhaiya Lal, was reportedly murdered on June 28 last year by two men who wielded cleavers and accused him of insulting Islam.
Criticisms Against State Government
In a statement issued later, Trivedi expressed his concern about various sections of society in Rajasthan - from farmers to young people - feeling worried about their safety. He went as far as calling out Rajasthan for being infamous across India due to rising atrocities against women under its current administration. In addition to these issues related to law and order and social security, he also pointed out how corruption had led to leakage of recruitment exam papers ruining future prospects for lakhs of youths.
Corruption Allegations & ED Raids
Referring to recent Enforcement Directorate (ED) raids conducted within Rajasthan state borders, Trivedi warned those involved in corrupt practices that they could not escape punishment. Echoing Prime Minister Narendra Modi's stance on corruption, he reiterated that anyone found guilty would undoubtedly face severe consequences.
Reiteration by Other Party Members
Tiwari wasn't alone in raising these issues. BJP MP Manoj Tiwari, while speaking to reporters in Jaipur, also highlighted the brutal killing of tailor Kanhaiya Lal. He criticized the state's Congress government for downplaying such violent incidents as sporadic and normal occurrences.
In conclusion, this recent criticism from BJP leaders against the Congress-led Rajasthan government underscores their concerns about deteriorating law and order situation in the state. The murder case of Kanhaiya Lal serves as a grim reminder of these challenges faced by residents under current administration. It remains to be seen how the ruling party responds to these allegations and what steps it takes to improve safety for its citizens.
