BJP Sounds Poll Bugle, Launches Theme Song For 2024 Lok Sabha Elections

The BJP on Thursday sounded poll bugle by releasing the theme song for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections.

The saffron party unveiled the song titled - "Sapne Nahi Haqeeqat Bunte Hai, Tabhi Toh Sab Modi Ko Chunte Hain (Not dreams, but (we) weave reality, That's why everyone chooses Modi)."

The song tries to highlight the initiatives taken by the BJP government for the betterment of the citizens.

It claims that the state of the nation was lamentable before 2014 and then the nation opted for Namo as its Prime Minister, who transformed the dream of a developed country into reality. By choosing the right paths, he wove the fabric of actual progress, not just a utopian vision, the lyrics add. Hence, the nation continues to pick Modi.

The theme song further adds that PM Modi considers Bharat as his mother and the citizen of the country as God. As a result, he opted work before fame. "That's why everyone (every country) listens to him. Indian women emerged as leaders while corrupt people are scared...he remained close to the grounds but reached the sky (a reference to Chandrayaan)," the song states.

The release of the song comes days after a circular sent by the Office of the Delhi Chief Electoral Officer to the 11 District Election Officers (DEOs) went viral.

It had claimed that the tentative date for the Lok Sabha elections as April 16, 2024.

Later, the official X handle of the Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, stated that the date is only for "reference" for officials to plan activities.

"Some media queries are coming referring to a circular by @CeodelhiOffice to clarify whether 16.04.2024 is a tentative poll day for #LSElections2024. It is clarified that this date was mentioned only for 'reference' for officials to plan activities as per Election Planner of ECI," the post clarified.
