BJP MP Kangana Ranaut Accepts Mistake Of Loose Statement On Farmers' Protest, Says Will Be Careful Now
Bollywood actor and BJP MP Kangana Ranaut has addressed the backlash she faced for her comments on the farmers' protests. She admitted that the party leadership had reprimanded her for her remarks, which she acknowledged had harmed the party's stance. "I was reprimanded by the party leadership and that's fine with me. I do not think I am the final voice of the party. I am not that crazy or stupid to believe that," Kangana told media.
The controversy was sparked after Kangana Ranaut in an interview said that a "Bangladesh-like situation" could have occurred in India if not for strong leadership. She also alleged that during the farmers' protest against the now-repealed three farm laws, there were incidents of bodies hanging and rapes, implicating China and the US in a conspiracy.

Himachal Assembly's Response
The Himachal Pradesh Assembly, led by Congress, adopted a resolution condemning Kangana's remarks. This move came after heated exchanges in the assembly of her Congress-ruled home state. The opposition intensified its criticism of Kangana, with AAP holding protests across Haryana.
In Haryana, where elections are scheduled for October 1, AAP leaders and workers protested against Kangana's statements in various locations including Jind, Yamunanagar, and Panchkula. An AAP leader remarked that her comments reflect the BJP's attitude towards farmers.
Political Reactions
Shiv Sena (Uddhav Thackeray) Rajya Sabha MP Priyanka Chaturvedi also criticized Kangana, urging her to apologize and expecting the BJP to express regret over her comments. The backlash against Kangana's remarks has seen widespread political reactions.
Kangana's controversial statements have sparked significant political discourse and public outcry. The incident underscores the sensitivity surrounding the farmers' protests and highlights how influential figures' comments can impact political dynamics.
This situation continues to evolve as various political entities respond to Kangana's remarks and their implications on public sentiment and party policies.
BJP also issued a warning to Mandi MP and directed her not to give any loose statement as she is not authorised to keep the party's stand.
