BJP Manifesto 2024: Highlights From Modi Ki Guarantee For MSME, Small Traders And Vishwakarma
Today the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released an extensive election manifesto, emphasising support for the poor, youth, farmers, and women. With the theme 'Modi ki guarantee,' it outlines promises in 24 areas.
Key points of the latest BJP manifesto for fostering a thriving environment for MSMEs, small traders, and Vishwakarma communities are:

1. Providing Easy Working Capital
The BJP stated that it would utilise the Digital India infrastructure established over the past decade to develop a strong and user-friendly Digital Credit solution, aimed at assisting the growth of small traders and MSMEs.
2. Strengthening PM Vishwakarma Yojana
The BJP mentioned that for the first time since independence, they had launched a specially designed program for the upliftment of Vishwakarma families. Under this program, financial assistance, credit facilities, training and skill development, and market access are provided to Vishwakarma families. The party expressed its commitment to further strengthen Bharat's Vishwakarma through a series of such initiatives.
3. Simplifying Compliances And Laws
Regarding simplifying compliances and laws, the BJP stated its intention to reduce compliances for small traders and MSMEs to enhance their ease of living and ease of doing business. BJP's manifesto also expressed a plan to work with state governments and encourage them to simplify state legislation.
4. Empowering Small Traders And MSMEs With ONDC
Concerning empowering small traders and MSMEs with ONDC, the BJP mentioned its intention to encourage them to adopt ONDC and expand their businesses using the power of technology.
5. Protecting Against Cyber-threats
In terms of protecting against cyber threats, the BJP expressed its plan to create a suite of public cybersecurity products to help small traders and MSMEs protect themselves against cyber threats and fraud.
6. Launching Affordable Insurance Products
Regarding launching affordable insurance products, BJP's manifesto stated the party's intention to launch affordable insurance products for small traders and MSMEs to protect them from accidents like fire, theft, natural disasters, etc.
7. GST Portal
Concerning the GST portal, the BJP expressed its plan to further simplify the same to increase accessibility to users, especially MSMEs and small traders.
8. Transforming Traditional Handicraft
Regarding transforming traditional handicrafts, the manifesto mentioned a plan to modernise traditional crafts by facilitating design interventions through collaboration with design skill institutes and setting up a Handicraft Design Bank to upskill traditional artisans, thus opening doors to global market opportunities and transforming their craft into a sustainable livelihood.
9. Expanding 'Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras'
Concerning expanding 'Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras,' the BJP's manifesto showed the intention to expand the network of 'Dak Ghar Niryat Kendras' to provide easy export facilities to MSMEs, small traders, and Vishwakarma families.
10. Khadi As a Global Brand
Regarding Khadi as a global brand, the BJP expressed its plan to rejuvenate and reposition Khadi as a national and global brand for sustainable lifestyles and undertake structural reforms to achieve these objectives.
11. Toy Export Hub
In terms of the toy export hub, BJP's manifesto mentioned the intention to transform Bharat into the global hub for toy manufacturing by leveraging their skilled workforce and rich cultural heritage to produce innovative and high-quality toys.
The manifesto emphasises support for small traders and Vishwakarma families, aiming to foster a thriving environment for MSMEs, small traders, and communities, promoting inclusive development nationwide.
