BJP Manifesto 2024: Here's What PM Modi Promises For 'Nari Shakti'
The election manifesto for the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, known as the "Sankalp Patra," was unveiled on April 14 in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda, Home Minister Amit Shah, and Defense Minister Rajnath Singh.
In the manifesto, titled 'Sankalp Patra,' commitments were made by the BJP to introduce 'One nation, one election' and implement a common electoral roll system. Additionally, the BJP pledged to introduce a law against exam paper leaks.

The Election Manifesto Committee, chaired by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, convened twice. Over 1.5 million recommendations for the manifesto were gathered, with 400,000 originating from the NaMo app and 1.1 million submitted via videos.
According to ANI, the Election Manifesto Committee was formed by the BJP, consisting of 27 members. Defense Minister Rajnath Singh was appointed as the committee's chairman.
Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman was appointed as the coordinator, and Union Minister Piyush Goyal was designated as the co-coordinator. Additionally, 24 members were included in this committee.

Our vision is to create a Viksit Bharat where Nari Shakti is regarded as an equal partner and stakeholder in society's progress. Through a series of legal and policy frameworks, the dignity of women will be ensured and they will be provided with equal growth opportunities.
Three Crore Lakhpati Didis: Empowerment initiatives have facilitated the transformation of one crore rural women into Lakhpati Didis. Now, efforts will be made to empower three crore rural women to become Lakhpati Didis.
Integration of Women SHGs in the Service Sector: Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be equipped with skills and tools in key service sectors like IT, healthcare, education, retail, and tourism to enhance their income.
Enhanced Market Access for Women SHG Enterprises: Women Self-Help Groups (SHGs) will be integrated into ongoing initiatives such as One District One Product (ODOP), Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), Ekta Mall, ONDC, GEM, One Station One Product, to improve market access for their products.
Facilitation of Women's Participation in the Workforce: Infrastructure development, including working women's hostels and creches, will be prioritized in locations near industrial and commercial centers to facilitate increased participation of women in the workforce.
Increased Women's Participation in Sports: Greater participation of women in sports will be encouraged through women sportsperson-focused programs and facilities.
Construction and Maintenance of Public Toilets for Women: Dignified lives for women have been ensured by constructing public and individual toilets under the Swachh Bharat Mission. Commitments continue to be made to uphold women's dignity by continuing the construction and maintenance of public toilets.
Ensuring Women's Health and Well-Being: Existing health services focused on the prevention and reduction of Anaemia, Breast Cancer, Cervical Cancer, and Osteoporosis will be expanded to ensure a healthy life for women. A focused initiative will be launched to eliminate cervical cancer.
Implementation of the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam: The long-awaited Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam has been enacted. Systematic implementation will ensure representation for women in Parliament and State Legislatures.
Expansion of Shakti Desks: Shakti Desks (Women Help Desks) have been established in police stations. Efforts will be made to expand them for timely investigation and resolution of issues.
Strengthening Emergency Helpline 112: The Emergency Response Support System will be strengthened, and the capabilities of Emergency Helpline 112 will be enhanced.
