BJP is the Only Party Capable of Ensuring Development in Tripura, Asserts CM Manik Saha

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha emphasises that the BJP is the only party capable of developing the state. He criticises CPIM and Congress for exploiting indigenous people for votes and highlights the BJP's commitment to non-violence.

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha stated that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is seen by the people as the sole party capable of developing the northeastern state. He made these remarks during an event in Gomati district's Killa, where 610 individuals from 200 families joined the BJP. Saha emphasised that the BJP stands firmly with its workers, especially when they face attacks.

During a visit to Asharambari in Khowai district for Prime Minister Narendra Modi's Mann Ki Baat radio programme, Saha highlighted its popularity. He mentioned an incident where BJP workers were attacked during a Mann Ki Baat session. "We are ready to sacrifice ourselves for the country, and whenever our workers are attacked, the party stands firmly with them," he said.

BJP's Stance on Development and Peace

Saha criticised the CPIM and Congress for engaging in vote bank politics with indigenous people. He claimed that these parties have not genuinely contributed to the state's development. According to him, only the BJP can bring about real progress in Tripura and across India.

The Chief Minister also addressed the issue of violence in politics. "The BJP does not want politics of murder, terror, and violence, which was common during the 35 years of CPIM-Congress rule," he stated. He added that while peace is desired, strength and power might be necessary to maintain it.

Respect for Maharaja Bir Bikram

Saha accused communists of failing to honour Maharaja Bir Bikram's contributions to Tripura's development. He noted that Maharaja Bir Bikram played a crucial role in establishing educational institutions and markets in the state. "We have given due respect to the Manikya dynasty in Tripura," Saha claimed.

He further mentioned that since 2014, Prime Minister Modi has been focusing on the development of Janajati tribal people. The BJP is committed to ensuring both development and respect for the Janajati community, according to Saha.

Saha concluded by stressing that unity is essential for Tripura's progress. He reiterated that under Modi's leadership, efforts have been made to uplift tribal communities and promote overall development in the region.
