Bikaram Jalaram, Lawrence Bishnoi’s ‘Brother’, Arrested by Mumbai Police In Salman Khan Threat Probe
Mumbai police have arrested a man from Karnataka for allegedly sending a death threat to Bollywood actor Salman Khan, accompanied by a demand for ₹5 crore. The threat was sent via the Mumbai Traffic Police's helpline, an official confirmed. The accused, Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, who claims to be the brother of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, hails from Jalore district in Rajasthan.
The 35-year-old, identified as Bikaram Jalaram Bishnoi, was apprehended by the Worli police on Wednesday after being interrogated. Bishnoi, a resident of Haveli in Karnataka, sent the threatening message on the WhatsApp helpline of the Mumbai Traffic Police control room on the night of November 5.

The message, sent in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi, warned Salman Khan to either apologize at their temple or pay ₹5 crore to avoid being killed. The message stated, "This is Lawrence Bishnoi's brother. If Salman Khan wants to stay alive, he must either apologize at our temple or pay ₹5 crore. If he refuses, we will kill him. Our gang is still active."
The police traced the accused to Karnataka, and after a detailed investigation, a team from Worli police station was dispatched to capture him. Bishnoi was arrested late Tuesday night and is currently in custody after his questioning.
Background of the Salman Khan-Lawrence Bishnoi Feud
The long-standing conflict between Salman Khan and Lawrence Bishnoi dates back to a 1998 incident when the actor was accused of hunting and killing two blackbucks, which are sacred animals to the Bishnoi community. This feud has led to several threats against the actor in recent years, including a shooting incident near his residence earlier this year.
Salman Khan has faced numerous threats from the Lawrence Bishnoi gang in the past. In April 2024, gunshots were fired near his Bandra residence, sparking grave concerns for the actor's safety.
