Who Is Satish Kumar Yadav?

Satish Kumar Yadav is a seasoned political figure whose journey began in the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD). He later joined Nitish Kumar-led JD(U) in 2005, marking the start of a career defined by shifting alliances and tough contests. His first attempt from Raghopur saw him lose to Rabri Devi, but in 2010 he achieved a major upset by defeating her with a margin of 13,006 votes-winning 64,222 votes to her 51,216.

Though he lost to Tejashwi Yadav in 2015, Satish Kumar remains one of the few leaders who has successfully challenged the Yadav family in their stronghold.
