Bidar Robbery Details

The robbery in Bidar took place on January 16 at 11:30 am, with the suspects fleeing the scene shortly after. Later that day, they reached Hyderabad and attempted to book bus tickets to Raipur, Chhattisgarh, from Roshan Travels in Afzalgunj at around 4 pm.

Travel Agency

During the ticket booking process, Jahangir, a staff member at Roshan Travels, became suspicious when he checked their luggage and found a large sum of cash. Sensing danger, one of the suspects pulled out a pistol and fired two rounds at Jahangir, injuring him. The duo then fled the scene with their bags at approximately 7 pm.

Police Investigation

The East Zone police, along with the Task Force and Bidar police, are actively searching for the suspects. Eight teams from the Hyderabad police have also joined the investigation.

CCTV footage from the travel agency shows the suspects running away with their bags after the shooting. The Bengaluru police have formed special teams and are coordinating with authorities in Raipur and Hyderabad to track down the suspects.

The police traced the suspects' movements up to Tank Bund using CCTV footage before losing track of them. The surveillance began after the suspects fired at Jahangir in Afzalgunj.

Meanwhile, private bus travels manager, Jahangir was immediately rushed to the hospital by the travel agency's management and is currently undergoing treatment.

In a strange coincidence, two police personnel from Bidar were on the same bus when the robbers opened fire at Jahangir. The officers were en route to secure a non-bailable warrant in an unrelated case.

Authorities have intensified the search for the suspects, who remain at large.
