Bhuj To Ahmedabad Vande Bharat Ticket Price, Route Map And Special Features
Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate India's first 'Vande Bharat Metro' service in Gujarat on Monday, September 16. This new service aims to revolutionize medium-distance travel across the country with its state-of-the-art features and efficiency. The inaugural journey will traverse from Bhuj to Ahmedabad, covering a distance of 360 km in just 5 hours and 45 minutes. The daily service will commence on September 17, with ticket prices set at Rs 455 for the entire trip.
The Indian Railways has renamed the Vande Bharat Metro to 'Namo Bharat Rapid Rail.'

How Does the Vande Bharat Metro Differ from Traditional Metros?
Unlike traditional metros found in cities like Delhi and Mumbai, the Vande Bharat Metro is designed for inter-city connectivity, bridging urban centers with their surrounding areas.
The Railway Ministry notes that while the term 'metro' usually refers to urban transit systems, the Vande Bharat Metro is equipped with cutting-edge technology and features to cater to a broader range of travel needs.
The Vande Bharat Metro represents a significant leap forward in India's rail infrastructure, combining modern amenities with a functional design to enhance the passenger experience. Its regular operation is expected to redefine inter-city travel, offering improved comfort, safety, and efficiency.
Key Features of the Vande Bharat Metro
- The train boasts comfortable, fully air-conditioned seats, a significant upgrade from traditional metros.
- Operating at a maximum speed of 110 km/h, the Vande Bharat Metro features rapid acceleration and deceleration for quicker travel.
- It is equipped with KAVACH collision avoidance technology, a fire detection system, emergency lights, and aerosol-based fire suppression.
- The train consists of 12 coaches with a seating capacity for 1,150 passengers. It features double-leaf automatic sliding doors, a flexible gangway, and maintains a dust-free, quiet, and rain-proof environment.
- Additional amenities include Divyangjan-friendly toilets, meal services, charging sockets, CCTV surveillance, and a talk-back system for emergency communication with the driver.
- The Ahmedabad-Bhuj service will make nine stops and cover the 360 km distance in 5 hours and 45 minutes, departing from Bhuj at 5:05 am and arriving at Ahmedabad Junction at 10:50 am.
