Bhopal Air Show: IAF Pilots Put On Display Their Jaguar, Chinook Skills On 91st Anniversary

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is putting on a dazzling display of its fighter jets over Bhojtal Lake in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, in celebration of the 91st anniversary of its establishment. The IAF officially came into existence on October 8, 1932, and its very first aircraft took flight on April 1, 1933, with six RAF-trained officers and 19 Havai Sepoys (air soldiers).

To mark this foundation day, the IAF is showcasing its strength with an impressive aerial demonstration of fighter jets in Bhopal. The visuals, captured by ANI and PTI, depict aircraft performing breathtaking maneuvers in various formations, leaving spectators in awe.

Adding to the excitement, CH-47F (I) Chinook helicopters from the Indian Air Force are delivering thrilling aerobatic performances, highlighting the nation's capabilities. The celebrations commenced a week prior with an Air Display near Bhojtal Lake.

On October 8, in line with the tradition of holding Air Force Day celebrations in different regions of the country, the Indian Air Force will conduct the Air Force Day parade and Air Display in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. According to an official release from the Ministry of Defence, the ceremonial parade will be held at Air Force Station Bamrauli, while the Air Display will take place over the Sangam area, near the Ordnance Depot (OD) Fort in Prayagraj. The scenic surroundings will enhance the visual spectacle of aircraft flying in close formation, further enhancing the event's charm.
