'Bharat Mata Ki Jai': Amitabh Bachchan Amid India Vs Bharat Controversy

Amid the controversy over using 'Bharat' instead of 'India' by the President of India in the G20 dinner invitation, Bollywood's Mega Star Amitabh Bachchan's latest tweet has caught the attention of the netizens.

On Tuesday, Big B, on X (formerly known as Twitter), wrote in Hindi, "Bharat Mata Ki Jai." This is seen as his support for the renaming of India to Bharat.
As he posted during the India-Bharat row.

Soon after Amitabh shared the tweet, several fans lauded the actor for his support.

The Congress on Tuesday alleged that the "Union of States" is under assault in the Modi government as it claimed that a G20 dinner invite refers to the President as "President of Bharat". The party also accused the prime minister of distorting history and dividing the country.

"So the news is indeed true. Rashtrapati Bhawan has sent out an invite for a G20 dinner on Sept 9th in the name of 'President of Bharat' instead of the usual 'President of India'," Congress general secretary Jairam Ramesh said in a post on X.

"Now, Article 1 in the Constitution can read: Bharat, that was India, shall be a Union of States. But now even this Union of States is under assault," Ramesh alleged.
