Bengaluru to Bharuch: The underworld wants communal clashes
Bengaluru, Nov 19: The Bengaluru police, which nabbed a person claiming that he was a Chhota Shakeel aide, have learnt that there was an attempt to create communal disturbances in the state of Karnataka.
Syed Reham, who was arrested, is alleged to have hired a contract killer to kill a Shri Ram Sena leader only to ensure that communal riots erupt in the state.

If the Bengaluru police are able to ascertain this angle, then it would become clear that this was a modus operandi similar to the one in Bharuch (Gujarat) where two BJP leaders were killed by aides of Dawood Ibrahim.
It was found by the Gujarat ATS that Javed Chikna a close aide of Dawood had paid Rs 50 lakh for an operation that would involve the killing of Hindu leaders in the state in a bid to create communal tension.
Are Bengaluru and Bhrauch operations linked:
If the Bengaluru police are to be believed then Rehman is a close aide of Chhota Shakeel who is a key member of the D Gang.
Rehman like Chikna was attempting the murder of Hindu leaders with an intention of creating communal clashes.
Recently the Intelligence Bureau (IB) had warned that the underworld would attempt killing of Hindu leaders with a motive of creating communal clashes in the country.
The Bengaluru police, which is questioning Rehman, has so far learnt that he is an aide of Shakeel. The police say that they have documentary evidence of the same which also includes call records.
The police have claimed that Rehman was hiring people to kill Hindu leaders so that communal sentiments could be exploited.
Further the police also learnt that he had tried to procure arms and also build up a strong network.
Going by the preliminary investigations it appears as though the Bhrauch and Bengaluru operations are similar.
However, there is nothing to suggest that the two are inter-linked. They could be two different operations with a similar motive an officer added.
The Gujarat ATS had said that the underworld is trying to create communal clashes in various states by using the Babri and Godhra slogans.
While the accused had claimed that the intention was to avenge the death of Muslims the reality is that they want to destablise the nation by creating communal riots.
