Bengaluru: Mistaken for child trafficking, mob lynches Rajasthan man

Nine people, including two juveniles, were arrested on Thursday or allegedly lynching a 26-year-old Rajasthan boy on Wednesday afternoon after they mistook him for a child kidnapper. The incident took place at Pension Mohalla, Chamrajpet in Bengaluru.

It is learnt that a fake whatapp video has been doing rounds on several social media about the presence of a child kidnapping gang in the city and urging people to remain cautious.

However, the mob suspected Kaluram to be a part of the gang when he was spotted loitering around.

However, by the time the police arrived at the spot to rescue Kaluram, he was severely injured and bleeding profusely.

Police found him drenched in blood as he had sustained head injuries. He was still breathing and was rushed to the Victoria Hospital nearby. Within 4-5 minutes he succumbed," police said, reports The New Indian Express.

Meanwhile, a case of murder has been registered against unknown persons was registered in Chamarajpet police station.
