Bangalore: He raped one of his own for 7 years, escaped police
Bengaluru, March 28: A 54-year old businessman in Bangalore hoodwinked the police when the latter tried to arrest it for sexually assaulting his own niece for 7 years. Now an IT rofessional, the girl reported the matter to the police with the help of her parents.
In her complaint, the girl said that she was abused since the age of 16 when she came to stay with him. Belonging to a very poor family from Sakleshpura of Hassan district, her uncle had offered to sponser her education. Following which she was sent to stay with him.

Over a period of three years, he harassed her sexually whenever his wife was not there at home. She endured everything fearing that she would be thrown out of the house and her education would be grounded.
However, she managed to get a seat at a reputed engineering college, from where she was placed at a top MNC. However, her uncle continued to exploit her until her parents found a match for her and fixed her marriage.
The wedding was later called off as her uncle told her would-be groom that she was having multiple affairs. The Bengaluru police said,"The girl never thought that her uncle would stoop that low. Eventually, she informed her parents about the ordeal she underwent. The parents mustered courage to bring this to our notice."
Before the police could nab him the 54-year old fled the state. Police suspect that he may be hiding in some southern state. His family members are in shock.
