Banks in Meghalaya will not operate on Monday, July 14, 2025. This closure is due to the Behdeinkhlam festival, a significant cultural event in the state. The Reserve Bank of India's list for July includes this day as a holiday under the Negotiable Instruments Act. This information is crucial for anyone planning bank transactions in Meghalaya.

The Reserve Bank of India categorises holidays into three types: those under the Negotiable Instruments Act, those under both the Negotiable Instruments Act and Real-Time Gross Settlement Holidays, and bank account closing holidays.
