Bangalore Shocker: Bihari girl kidnapped, gangraped in a resort

Bangalore, Aug 21: After Delhi, now Bangalore too received the tag -- rape city. The tech city lost its glory as one after another rape cases shocked people. Now, a young girl has been kidnapped and gangraped in a resort.

The girl, who hails from Bihar, filed a complaint at Taverekere Police Station on Thursday, Aug 21. According to her testimony, police registered a case of kidnapping and rape against three persons who have been arrested later.

All three persons were accused of kidnapping the girl on the pretext of offering lift. The girl was standing near Majestic bus stand. Later the trio allegedly had taken the girl to a nearby resort and raped her.

The victim, however, managed to escape the next day. A few cab drivers noticed the girl running with torn dress and rescued her. Later the drivers took the girl to near Taverekere police station. The victim is currently under treatment in a local hospital.

Anupam Agarwal, the SP of Ramanagar, visited the resort and inspected the crime scene. According to sources, one of the accused is the son of an influential person. However, their identities have not been revealed yet.

Earlier one minor girl was raped inside a reputed school in the city. Massive protest was held demanding increase of security for women. Citing the latest incident, it seems that Bangalore Police and the government are yet to work on the demand of increasing security of women.
