'Bakasuran' movie review: What's Good, What's Bad; find it out from netizens' tweets

Tamil film 'Bakasuran' stars Selvaraghavan and Natarajan Subramanian as the leads. Mohan G of 'Draupadi' and 'Rudhra Thandavam' fame has written the story and directed the flick which has Radha Ravi, Mansoor Ali Khan, Kutty Gopi and others in the cast.

The story of the movie is about Beema Rasu (Selvaraghavan). He sleeps and eats at Lord Shiva temples. He Kills a lustful man. Simultaneously, we are introduced to Major Arulvarman (Kutty). He is a retired army man and currently, he has his own YouTube channel on criminology and crime-based stories. At this juncture, his niece commits suicide. As he starts investigating the case, he busts a sex racket. What follows next should be watched on-screen.

The movie has several problematic references including blaming victims. The story. despite being investigative thriller, is predictable. Selvaraghavn has done a fine job and Natty is equally good. Farook J Basha's cinematography and Sam CS' background add value to the product.

Haricharan Pudipeddi: #Bakasuran - Mohan G takes up another social issue and manages to deliver an emotionally strong film. Predictable, yes, but still works to a large extent. Another good outing for @selvaraghavan as the actor/performer.
