Badaun gang-rape: 1 nabbed in Bareilly
Bareilly, Jan 6: One of the two accused policemen, involved in the kidnapping and raping of a 14-year old girl in a police station, has been kidnapped at Bareilly junction. This was possible by the joint effort of the Special Task Force and Bareilly and Badaun police late on Monday night.
Constable Avinash Yadav was nabbed when he was about to board a train to Delhi. Rajiv Malhotra, Bareilly city superintendent of police confirmed the arrest of the accused.

Abinash, along with Veer Pal Singh Yadav had allegedly kidnapped a 14-year old girl on New Year's eve when the girl went out to relieve herself. The two kidnapped her on her way back and pushed her into a jeep. They took her to the police station and raped her there. When her condition deteriorated, they dumped her outside the village. While Veer Pal is yet to be traced, both the constables have been suspended.
An FIR was registered only after the incident was highlighted by the media.
