Baba Hardev Singh's mortal remains arrive in Delhi, last rites on Wednesday
New Delhi, May 16: The mortal remains of Sant Nirankari Mission head Baba Hardev Singh who died in car crash in Canada, arrived in New Delhi on Monday.
Body of Baba Hardev Singh who met with a road accident in Montreal on May 13, will be kept in Delhis Burari Road for the devotees to pay their last respects.
Last rites of Baba Hardev Singh will be performed on Wednesday, said a statement issued by the Nirankari Mission.
"The Antim Yatra (last journey) will begin on Wednesday from Ground No 8 at 8 am and conclude at Nigam Bodh Ghat. Antim Sanskar (last rites) will take place at the CNG Crematorium at 12 noon," mission official Kirpa Sagar said in a release.Read More: Baba Hardev Singh: Facts you need to know about late spiritual leader
Followers of the sect have been asked not to gather in New Delhi to avoid inconvenience.
An investigation has been launched by the Montreal Police to determine what exactly led to the car crash.
At the time of car crash he was accompanied by his two son-in-laws. Baba was travelling from New York to Montreal when accident took place.
