Here's why Azam Khan wants demolition of Rashtrapati Bhawan, Parliament House
New Delhi, Feb 22: Samajwadi Party leader Azam Khan is known for his controversial statements. UP Cabinet Minister is once again in the news for the wrong reasons.
Stoking fresh controversy, he has said that Rashtrapati Bhawan and Parliament House should be demolished. SP leader said that above historical buildings should be razed as these are the symbols of 'slavery'.

According to media reports, Azam Khan made this statement while addressing at a seminar in Raza Degree College, Rampur. "You must accept the fact that the number one symbol of feudalism (in India) is Taj Mahal. The President's residence and the Parliament building come next," Khan said.
SP leader also sought the demolition of the Taj Mahal. Justifying his statement, Azam said, "Such big monument was a criminal waste of public money".
