'Ayodhya, Mahakumbh Ka Ek Sandesh...': UP CM Yogi Adityanath Coins New Slogan Ahead Of Milkypur Election
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath introduced a new slogan during a rally in Milkipur, where bypolls are scheduled for February 5. The slogan, "Ayodhya aur Mahakumbh ka ek hi sandesh, Ekta se akhand rahega ye desh," translates to "Both Ayodhya and Mahakumbh have one message: unity will ensure the integrity of our country." This statement was made amidst ongoing political discussions.
The slogan emerged shortly after Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav criticised the state government for conducting a cabinet meeting at the Maha Kumbh site in Prayagraj. Yadav argued that such locations should not be used for political purposes. He remarked, "Kumbh or Prayagraj is not the place where politics or political decisions should be taken."

Political Reactions and Criticisms
BJP spokesperson Shehzad Poonawalla responded to Yadav's comments by highlighting what he termed as the dual nature of SP leaders. He stated, "We saw a Cabinet meeting was held at Mahakumbh and many big decisions were taken. But those who organize 'naach-gana' in Saifai ask why a Cabinet meeting was held at Mahakumbh. This is their dual character."
During the cabinet meeting chaired by CM Yogi on Wednesday, several important schemes for Uttar Pradesh were approved. Deputy CM Brajesh Pathak mentioned discussions about Ardha Kumbh 2031, focusing on infrastructure developments like bridges, roads, and hospitals in Prayagraj.
Allegations of Mismanagement
Meanwhile, UP Congress president Ajay Rai accused the state government of corruption concerning the Maha Kumbh budget. Rai promised to disclose detailed information post-event. He claimed that recent fire incidents at the mela campus highlighted inadequate preparations and questioned the cabinet meeting's legitimacy.
The Maha Kumbh has become a focal point for political debates as various parties express differing views on its management and significance. The event's spiritual importance contrasts with its use as a platform for political activities, sparking diverse opinions among leaders.
