Additionally, Ajit Pawar's NCP faction is anticipated to win only 1-2 seats, according to the exit poll. The India Today-Axis My India exit poll, conducted based on 5.8 lakh interviews across all 543 parliamentary constituencies, offers insights into the electoral landscape of Maharashtra. However, it's important to note that exit polls can sometimes be inaccurate.

One of the closely watched contests in Maharashtra is expected to be in Baramati, where Sharad Pawar's NCP has nominated his daughter and sitting MP Supriya Sule against Ajit Pawar's wife Sunetra Pawar. The exit poll indicates a close competition between Supriya Sule and Sunetra Pawar in Baramati.

In terms of vote share, the NDA alliance is projected to receive 46 per cent of the votes, while the INDIA bloc may garner 43 per cent, with the remaining 11 per cent going to other parties. According to the C-Voter exit poll, there is a tight race between the NDA and the INDIA bloc, with the former expected to win 22-26 seats and the latter likely to secure 23-25 seats.

News18's exit poll prediction suggests that the BJP-led NDA could win 32-35 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra, with 15-18 seats going to the INDIA bloc. In the 2019 elections, the BJP and Shiv Sena, in alliance, won 41 out of the 48 Lok Sabha seats in Maharashtra.

However, significant changes have occurred since then, including Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's rebellion and the Shiv Sena faction being declared legitimate. Additionally, the split within the NCP and Ajit Pawar's appointment as Deputy Chief Minister have altered the political landscape.

Notable constituencies in Maharashtra this year include Mumbai North, Mumbai South, Mumbai North Central, Satara, Kolhapur, Thane, Nagpur, and Amravati. Several prominent candidates are contesting, including Shrikant Shinde in Thane, Nitin Gadkari in Nagpur, Navneet Rana in Amravati, Ujjwal Nikam in Mumbai North Central, Piyush Goyal in Mumbai North, and Rahul Shewale in Mumbai South. Furthermore, the Congress and Shiv Sena (UBT) are contesting the elections together as part of the INDIA bloc alliance.
